Supporting 2026 Envirothon: A Day of Environmental Learning
At Schlouch Incorporated, we believe in investing in the future of our communities and our natural environment. We are incredibly proud to have played a role in supporting 2026 Envirothon initiatives, encouraging local students to expand their knowledge of the natural world. Education is the foundation of environmental stewardship.
By backing events like the 2026 Northampton County Envirothon, hosted and supported by the Northampton County Conservation District, we help empower the next generation of environmental professionals and advocates.
Highlights from the 2026 Event
This year’s competition took place on April 16th at the beautiful Louise Moore Park. The event brought together 12 enthusiastic high school teams from across the county. It was a day dedicated to hands-on environmental competition, learning, and collaboration.
The Northampton County Conservation District played a key role in coordinating and supporting the event, bringing together local schools, environmental agencies, and industry partners to create a meaningful educational experience for participating students.
Testing Categories and Student Engagement
Students showcased their knowledge across a variety of crucial environmental disciplines. The rigorous testing categories included:
- Aquatics
- Forestry
- Soils
- Wildlife
- The 2026 Current Issue
Beyond the testing stations, students had the unique opportunity to engage directly with professionals actively working in the environmental field. This direct interaction provided valuable career insights and practical knowledge that extends far beyond the classroom.
Celebrating the Winning Teams
The level of enthusiasm and commitment these students brought to environmental education was truly rewarding to witness. After a full day of challenging tests and collaborative problem-solving, three teams stood out for their exceptional performance.
The top three teams for this year were:
- 1st Place – Saucon Valley High School
- 2nd Place – Bangor Area High School (Maroon Team)
- 3rd Place – Bangor Area High School (White Team)
We extend our sincere congratulations to these students for their hard work and dedication.
A Rewarding Experience for All
The event was a resounding success. We saw strong student participation and excellent collaboration from all of our agency partners. Teachers and attendees provided overwhelmingly positive feedback, noting the well-organized structure and the high level of engagement from the students. Seeing young people tackle complex environmental topics with such passion gives us great hope for the future of our local ecosystems.
