This meaningful community celebration will take place on July 4, 2026, at the Berks County Fairgrounds as our country celebrates its 250th anniversary. The Star Spangled Spectacular is a long-standing Independence Day tradition that brings families, neighbors, veterans, musicians, and community members together for an unforgettable day of music, celebration, and patriotic pride.
Continuing a Community Tradition
For nearly 20 years, the Reading Symphony Orchestra has provided the Berks County community with a free Star Spangled Spectacular in honor of Independence Day. Previous concerts have welcomed thousands of attendees, creating a special place for people of all ages to gather, enjoy great music, honor United States veterans, and give back to the community.
The 2026 celebration will be especially meaningful as the nation marks 250 years of independence. With an anticipated larger crowd, the event will be held at the Berks County Fairgrounds, offering ample space and parking for families and guests to enjoy the day.

A Day Filled With Music, Family, and Celebration
The Star Spangled Spectacular will feature local musicians, bands, and performers throughout the day, followed by a patriotic concert performed by the Reading Symphony Orchestra.
The event will also include ceremonial honors, family activities, food trucks, and a fireworks display to close out the evening. Guests are also encouraged to participate in the Helping Harvest food collection by bringing non-perishable food items to support those in need.
This celebration is about more than a day of entertainment. It is about unity, gratitude, community, and honoring the spirit of our nation.
