Meet Alyssa Brace: A Rising Marketing Star
Alyssa Brace joined Schlouch Incorporated as a marketing intern in May 2025, bringing with her a unique combination of business acumen and creative flair. Currently a junior at Alvernia University, Alyssa is pursuing a dual degree program, working toward both a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services.
Her academic foundation is complemented by hands-on experience with essential digital marketing tools. Alyssa has developed expertise in social media management, digital media strategy, and design platforms, including Canva and Adobe Illustrator. These technical skills, combined with her natural marketing instincts, made her an ideal fit for our team from day one.
As an active member of the Opake Institute at Alvernia University, Schlouch had the opportunity to work with Alyssa and other marketing fellows from January to May. Our goals for the students were to study our Schlouch marketing, explore marketing technology, strategies, and tools to ultimately enhance our marketing presence. Alyssa demonstrated her commitment to leadership and professional development during this process, even before joining our team as an intern. This involvement reflects the entrepreneurial spirit and openness to new ideas that align perfectly with Schlouch Incorporated’s core values.
Alyssa’s Internship Experience: Making an Impact from Day One
During her three-month tenure with Schlouch Incorporated, Alyssa has taken on diverse responsibilities that showcase the breadth of modern marketing. Her day-to-day activities include managing our social media channels, creating engaging visual content, and developing marketing materials that communicate our expertise in residential, commercial, industrial, energy, and governmental construction projects.
One of Alyssa’s most significant contributions has been creating video content for our social media. She developed a content calendar that highlights our team, our individual roles, and employee development. She helped share our brand and showcase the people behind our construction excellence. Her eye for design has transformed our visual storytelling, using Canva and Adobe Illustrator to create graphics that are both professional and approachable.
Alyssa also spearheaded a digital campaign showcasing our trench safety stand down. , aligning perfectly with our mission to provide and promote a safe work environment. The campaign also featured behind-the-scenes content that demonstrated our safety protocols while highlighting our pipe work in action.
Skills and Growth: Learning Beyond the Classroom
The internship program at Schlouch Incorporated has provided Alyssa with opportunities to develop both technical and soft skills that will serve her throughout her career. On the technical side, she has advanced her proficiency in social media analytics, learning to interpret engagement data and adjust strategies based on performance metrics. She also learned different types of technology to create short, impactful videos.
Her soft skills have flourished as well. Working within our collaborative team environment has strengthened her communication abilities, project management skills, and professional confidence. Alyssa has participated in marketing meetings, job site tours, and presented campaign results to leadership, experiences that have accelerated her professional maturity.
