BLANDON, PA, January 26, 2000 — Schlouch Incorporated has been awarded a contract to prepare a 10-acre site in Cumru Township, Berks County, for a landfill cell for the Western Berks Authority. The contract is valued at $700,000.
Barry Schlouch, president of Schlouch Incorporated, said that his firm will clear 10 acres of woods, move 95,000 cubic yards of earth while stockpiling 30,000 cubic yards of rock, install storm drainage and two sediment basins on a 2:1 slope, and seed and net the slope. Schlouch will also respread the topsoil on the 2:1 slopes and in the basins.
